A third vintage from this site for the 2023 vintage, this wine was made from an East facing slope in the Upper Yarra. 26 year old vines from Gladysdale provide the backbone of this wine which was picked on the 20/3/23, pressed to tank for 24 hours and then racked to barrel on full solids. Fermentation took approx 13 days and then the wine was stirred on lees once per week post fermentation. MLF was neither encouraged nor discouraged before SO2 was added in late May. The wine was then left in barrel until December when it was racked to tank, seeded with bentonite, filtered and then bottled.
